Franklin Home Page was launched in 2012 by Susan Leathers and Kelly Gilfillan as part of Home Page Media Group, which covers local news in the suburbs of Nashville, TN. Kelly Gilfillan, a member of the board of LION Publishers, became sole owner in June 2014. In October 2018, FW Publising acquired the Home Page Media Group, with Gilfillan overseeing the group as associate publisher. The group also publishes Brentwood Home Page, Bellevue Home Page, Home  Nolensville Home Page, and Spring Hill Home Page.
